To reverse the effects of sitting for long periods, try squat sitting for two minutes each day. It can do wonders for back problems and is said to be the perfect resting posture. The lumbar spine extends which stretches the muscles in our lower back, minimising any spinal compression. Try for two minutes and see if you can increase up to 5 minutes.
