Two WelleCo Nighttime Elixirs, One Tell-all Nutritionist
Get your fix of wellness and things that inspire us.
WelleCo now has two nighttime offerings, so we break down their differences so you can indulge in one (or both!)
We ask WelleCo Training Manager and (one of our many) resident Nutritionists (Bachelor of Health Science – Nutritional Medicine), Bianca about the difference between WelleCo’s Sleep Welle Calming Tea and our newly launched, The Evening Elixir. Here’s what she had to say:
What is The Evening Elixir? “The Evening Elixir has been formulated to support healthy, glowing skin and relaxation. With a combination of vitamins, minerals and herbs such as magnesium, natural vitamin C from acerola cherry, niacin (B3) and a herbal blend of chamomile, lemon balm, passionflower and lavender, it’s designed to support beauty while you sleep.”
Who will it suit? “It can be great for those who find it hard to wind down, particularly at night, and who want to amplify their skin care routine from the inside.”
What is Sleep Welle Calming Tea? “Our Sleep Welle Calming Tea has been formulated with a sleep supporting blend of herbs including valerian, hops, lemon balm, skullcap and passionflower. While the Sleep Welle Calming Tea does not contain ingredients to support skin health, the potent herbal blend has been combined to assist with calming the mind and easing into a deep, restful night’s sleep.”
Who will it suit? “It can be great for those who struggle to fall asleep at night, or tend to wake in the middle of the night.”
What about the taste factor?“The Evening Elixir is naturally sweetened with stevia and only contains 0.3g of naturally occurring sugar per serve. It has a rich chocolatey taste, making it a delicious low-calorie treat for when those chocolate cravings hit. WelleCo’s Sleep Welle Calming Tea only contains 0.03g of sugar per serve and has a naturally fruity mango and lemon taste.”
And how do they differ in terms of presentation? “The Evening Elixir comes in a powder and we recommend mixing two teaspoons (5g) with warm (not boiling) milk or water. The Sleep Welle Calming Teacomes as a teabag and we recommend infusing one teabag in hot (not boiling) water for two to 10 minutes. Both products are also delicious with cold water and ice as an iced chocolate or iced tea.”
