Describe yourself in 3 words.

Creative, positive and easygoing.

What is the most read book on your bookshelf?

When I was a teenager, I was obsessed with the book Girlosophy. I must have read it so many times!

What’s your morning routine?

My mornings can be quite busy, but I like to try to make some time for myself and if possible, I’ll get up super-early and go for a run or even a surf if the conditions are good. Once I return home, I always make a healthy smoothie for breakfast, filled with lots of nutrients to give me energy for the day.

What’s your evening routine?

Sometimes I work quite late but if I can find time, I like to go to Yoga after work. Then when I get home, my husband and I will cook dinner together and chat about our day. Sometimes we’ll have friends over for dinner and lay a table setting outside where we can watch the ocean.

You can only take five things from your home to a deserted island – what are they?

The first thing I would take would be my camera. I just love to take photos and capture precious memories. I’d also take a sketch pad and pencil so that I can write and draw. I’d take all of my family photos as I do think they’re the most precious items that I own. I’d pack a Yoga mat, and considering I’d be heading to an island, I’d have to take my surfboard and maybe surf some uncrowded waves!

The best beauty advice you’ve been given?

Beauty comes from within, both in a metaphorical way and also when it comes to inner health. When you work on both of these two important elements, you have the foundation to be the best version of yourself that you can be.

Who do you most admire and why?

I have so much admiration for my parents. They are both very humble and hardworking and have taught me the values of being kind, thoughtful and grateful for everything that comes my way.

What’s the best gift that you’ve ever received?

My children. They’re so funny and bright-eyed. They look at the world through different eyes and have taught me so much. I can’t imagine what life would be like without them.

What’s your favourite place in the world and what makes it special?

This is always such a hard question to answer - I have so many favourite places that I love visiting for so many different reasons. If I had to choose, I’d have to say the Maldives. I love the simple natural beauty of the surroundings, clear blue water, outdoor activities and the people. It really is a special place to visit.

Where do you look for inspiration?

I grew up on a cane farm so I love the simple things. I find a lot of inspiration in nature and when I was little, I would lie on a blanket under the trees in our backyard and daydream for hours. I find that most of my inspiration comes when my mind is clear from all of the noise that comes with modern living, so I love to immerse myself in activities that help clear my thoughts – things like surfing, Yoga and being outdoors.

What are you most proud of?

I’m proud of my family and the people around me that inspire me every day. When those that you love bring you joy, it enables you to pass that on to others.
