Landscape architect and plant stylist Freya Mengler, explains why her house is always green.
“Plants feed me. It’s mediation and noise cancelling. I can be plucking bindis out of the grass and it gives me headspace. I love the physical labour using my core and the intake of natural vitamin D. It’s quite addictive."
“Add a plant to that one sterile room in your house and it transforms the room 100%. Right now in interiors, we are seeing a real resurgence of the 1970s. Watch any film from that era and there is dark timber and indoor plants. Beautiful greens get rid of the bad juju.”
“Plants provide air purification. Because residue can form a film over leaves, dust them regularly so they can breathe and photosynthesize effectively. Be kind to them.”
