AUSSIE DEVELOPER AND FATHER OF 4 SCOTT FLYNN DISHES ON HIS DAY IN FOOD TO DR SIMONE LAUBSCHER PHD, AND FINDS OUT HOW TO CUT DOWN ON COFFEE AND AVOID DREADED ‘MAN BOOBS’.
On waking: 2 glasses of water and 2 half-strength coffees with a dash of milk.
Dr. Simone Laubscher PhD. (DL) says: Perfect start. Always best to start the morning with a pint of water (around 500ml). Add lemon, lime and ginger if you want to love your liver first thing. Then 30 – 60 minutes later, have your coffee but choose plant milks over cow's milk to reduce intake of hormones, pesticides and antibiotics. It will help keep your belly fat in check and avoid the growth of 'man boobs'!
Breakfast:2 scrambled eggs and tomato.
DL: Lovely. Organic and free-range eggs are best because the chickens were happy which creates a healthy egg. Be great to also add some greens here like spinach, rocket or any leaves. If you have a big day ahead, 1/3 avocado will also serve you well. It keeps blood sugar levels more balanced so you feel physically and mentally strong.
Mid-morning: 1 punnet of raspberries, a handful of almonds and 1 litre water.
DL: Great GI balancing here. The fructose from the berries picks up your blood sugar levels and the protein from the almonds will sustain you.
Lunch: Grilled white fish, half an avocado, salt, pepper and lemon juice.
DL: Great choice. Maybe add some salad or vegetables too.
Mid-afternoon: Berries, almonds and 2 half-strength coffees.
DL: Because caffeine blocks key minerals from being absorbed into the body, have your coffee an hour after your berries and almonds. I would also rotate in walnuts – they are fantastic for brain function. Maybe try a half portion (one heaped teaspoon) of WelleCo SUPER ELIXIR here in 250-500ml cold water instead of the coffees and see how you go.
Dinner:Grilled meat with light salad or steamed vegetables.
DL:Make sure the protein is wild and/or organic so you don’t ingest hormones, pesticides and antibiotics.

Dessert: Diet jelly, yogurt, almonds and sunflower seeds or an Atkins Bar and water.
DL: The diet jelly and Atkins bars contain lots of chemicals and will negatively affect your mind and body. You can get those 100% fruit jellies now too with no added toxic sugar replacements (which are proving to be a huge cause of anxiety too). Make sure the yoghurt is vegan or at least organic to reduce added hormones.
