BRITISH WELLNESS BLOGGER AND YOUTUBE QUEEN NIOMI SMART RUNS DR SIMONE LAUBSCHER PHD THROUGH HER DAY IN FOOD.
Breakfast: Porridge made with almond milk, cinnamon and berries which I find is a really filling breakfast following a workout. I exercise most mornings so I need something that’s going to give me energy for the rest of the day.
Dr Laubscher PhD (DL):Sounds great! I'm sure if you workout each morning you have lots of water and preferably with lemon to start the day to hydrate your cells :)

Mid-morning: Protein Shake that keeps me going until lunch and is also beneficial following a workout to aid muscle repair.
DL: Great idea, just make sure it is not whey-based. Whey is is a strange by-product of milk, and due to expenses the majority of companies don't use an organic source, so you are left with all the nasties of non-organic milk like hormones, pesticides and antibiotics. That is why I chose a vegan base for WelleCo's NOURISHING PROTEIN so as to avoid such nasty additives.
Lunch: Usually I will have something like quinoa with roasted veggies and spinach, drizzled with olive oil dressing and topped with some pumpkin seeds.
DL: Delicious. If your energy levels get a little low or you get too hungry in the afternoons, add more protein like nuts or lentils and up your essential fatty acid's with half an avocado.
Mid-afternoon: Rye crackers with almond butter.
DL: Nice and see above in case you need a little more protein at lunch
Dinner: One of my favourite go-to dinners is chilli ‘sin’ carne made with beans, vegetables and brown rice topped with a dollop of coconut yogurt to give it an added richness.

DL: Sounds great as a vegan dinner just watch your bean to rice ratios if you wake up feeling tired in the mornings.
Dessert: I don’t tend to have dessert everyday but now and again I love dark chocolate.
DL: Great treat option!
Throughout the day I always have a water bottle on me so I can stay hydrated. I also love green teas and the occasional matcha latte with almond milk.
DL: Sounds great and no doubt due to your exercise levels you have 2-3 litres of purified water per day. You can add 2 teaspoons of THE SUPER ELIXIR to one of your water portions too. It supports your body's 11 systems so your organs can function correctly and give your body the optimum fuel it needs at a cellular level.
