Your career has spanned, modeling, acting and now eco-beauty entrepreneur, how did you begin your journey to creating your own skincare and makeup collection?

I began my journey with a dream to bring positive change to our beautiful world. I also wanted cosmetics that were good for us and the planet. It just wasn't out there, so I decided to create it myself. The world is ready for high quality, exceptional and natural products that can create change in the world. 

What do you feel has been your biggest professional achievement?

My greatest professional achievement has definitely been creating the brand of my dreams, Josie Maran Cosmetics. Through which, I've been able to be a leader in social change and goodness in the world. 

Your IMAGINE movement is hugely inspirational, what made you decide to make a global difference to empowering women in the developing world?

Women are the highest leverage point to change the world. When a woman becomes empowered you empower a whole village. And in the developing world women are hungry for change and possibility. So empowering women in the developing world is an accelerated path to making the world of our dreams come true. And women are amazing so I want to give them every opportunity I can!

What does strength mean to you?

Strength means you have the courage to make mistakes and learn and grow. 


 How does a typical day look?

Waking up, meditating, doing yoga, and then reading about something new to learn about. These are my essentials to start my day and go for my dreams. I travel a lot so always creating an adventure wherever I go. 

What would you like to do more of?

I'd like to do more camping and getting into nature with my kids and friends. 

What do you do to unwind?

I go for a hike or listen to Bob Marley and have a little dance party. 

What are 3 foods you can't live without?

I live for sea urchin. I love good fatty foods like avocado and I am a homemade pizza fanatic. 

What does wellness mean to you?

Wellness is caring for myself spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially. Taking time to nurture my dreams and my soul. I'm always on a mission to learn and grow.

My mom, Anne Frank, and Amma, known for her selfless love and compassion for all beings.
