Dirty dozen – the 12 foods that contain the most pesticides

The Environmental Working Group released a report that showed nearly two thirds of produce tested contained pesticides.

The amount however varies between different types of fruit and veggies.

The “Dirty Dozen” list is the produce that contains the most pesticides. This isn’t suggesting we stop eating our fruit and veggies but to help us make informed decisions about which ones to either, buy organic, or when organic is not available or too expensive, be extra thorough when washing.

  1. Apples
  2. Strawberries
  3. Grapes
  4. Celery
  5. Peaches
  6. Spinach
  7. Sweet bell Peppers
  8. Nectarines
  9. Cucumbers
  10. Cherry tomatoes
  11. Snap peas
  12. Potatoes

The blend of 100% natural and organic ingredients in WelleCo Fruit and Veggie Wash reduces the levels of contaminants by helping water stick to dirt, chemicals and waxes to allow their removal. Using the concentrate removes up to 100 times more contaminants than rinsing with water alone.
