Elle chats to The New Potato about how her permanent youthful glow is credited to a well-balanced diet and SUPER ELIXIR.

They don’t call her “The Body” for nothing. Years after retiring from the runway, Elle Macpherson is still as elegant as ever. The Aussie supermodel credits her permanent youthful glow to a well-balanced diet, which includes drinking copious amounts of water (three liters per day, to be exact). We chatted with the blonde beauty about her skincare routine, favorite go-to products, and the importance of smiling – and listened intently as she schooled us on cellular nourishment and the benefits of an alkaline balanced body. If it’ll make us look like Elle Macpherson, we’ll try anything.

From start to finish, what would be your ideal food day?

In the morning, 500 ml of lemon water first thing, then fruit (papaya, peach, pineapple, kiwi), chia seed pudding, oatmeal or an egg on spelt toast. Then espresso and almond cookies, 500ml of water, and WelleCo SUPER ELIXIR Greens.

For lunch, fish and vegetables or plant protein and vegetables with 500 ml of water. For a snack, a shake made of WelleCo NOURISHING PLANT PROTEIN, almond milk and a frozen banana with 500 ml of water, or Lemonade made of 500 ml water with cayenne pepper, lemon and agave, with a hand full of almonds and dried fruit, blitzed. For dinner, a plant-based protein salad with goat cheese (quinoa, red rice or sweet potato) or fish if I had no fish at lunch, followed by dark chocolate and 500 ml of water.

How do you consistently practice beauty from the inside out?

I don’t believe in fad diets or excessive exercise plans. I keep it simple, so it’s easier to stick to. Forty-five minutes of sport a day, and forty-five minutes of quiet time a day. Good nutrition, SUPER ELIXIR Greens, and NOURISHING PLANT PROTEIN. Love, laughter and water! I treat my personal diary like my business diary. So anything I want to prioritize – like exercise – gets scheduled in just like an important meeting. Every morning, I do forty-five minutes of exercise, body work or stretching – or I might do a business call while walking around the park. I find if I don’t slot it in, it often doesn’t get done.

I believe in wellness and maintenance, which to me means “easy does it all year long”. It’s really simple: Eat vegetables, fruits and lean protein, a little bit of dark chocolate – if that’s what you like – and lots of water. Nothing too extreme; it’s all about balance and trying a little bit every day.

Ultimately, I’ve learned that an alkaline body and PH-neutral body is a healthier body. Many people believe that it combats disease, encourages cellular renewal and therefore is anti-aging. When all of our eleven body systems are nourished well and detoxifying properly, they are in their optimal state. I feel that my body thrives now that I am taking the SUPER ELIXIR Greens every day; my workouts are strong, I’ve lost weight around my waist, and my moods are balanced, I don’t have sugar cravings and I just feel on top of my game.
